Thought i would type this up. c:

The Story starts with Yuki's mother, who lived next door to her Japanese child hood friend and her husband.
When Yuki's mother fell pregnant her partner left her and she was left alone to raise the baby on her own. Because Yuki and her childhood friend were so close she wanted her friend to name the baby. When the baby was born it had very fair skin and hair like snow so the baby ended up being named Yuki because it means snow in Japanese. Two years after Yuki was born the Japanese couple had a baby boy, they named him Yamato and even as a baby he was shy and didn't make much noise. Straight away Yuki and Yamato ended up as play buddies and best friends and Yuki was really happy to have something like a little brother.

But when Yamato was only five years old his parents died in a car accidnt on the way home from work, Yuki's mother immediately took Yuki under her wing. Yamato didn't handle the loss of his parents wall at all and stopped talking all together and cried a lot. Yamato only started to talk again a year later on his first day of school when he was scared of all the other kids because they would pick on him so he went to Yuki and started talking to her again but not to anyone else. Yuki was so happy to have him talk to er again that she would spend almost everyday with him in the school year.

Yamato grew more and more depressed and as Yuki got more popular at school and then moved to year 7 at a high school. Yamato felt more alone then ever and because Yuki spent all her time with her friends their relationship slowly died. When Yamato hit year 7 himself though everything changed and he became one of the popular kids, the kind that picked on others and did whatever he wanted in his desperation to be popular and liked by people. Yuki and Yamato's relationship was really bad at this time and they would always argue at home and never really talked to each other. Yuki didn't see him as her brother but just a kid she lived with.

Over time without telling each other they both started to miss each others friendship and how things used to be between them. That year Yamato became popular Yuki had started having problems with her friends and one of them back stabbed her by spreading awful rumours about her. With this she reacted by cutting all of her hair short and stopped talking to people and spent her time alone. Yamato would hear all of the rumours about Yuki and even though he knew they were not true he didn't say anything. Two years later of everyone bagging out Yuki and treating her like she was nothing Yamato finally went against his so called friends and stood up for Yuki. Soon after that Yuki and Yamato started talking again and their relationship became close again. Yamato had given up his popularaty to spend all his time with Yuki and things started looking up.

When Yuki was in year 12 Yamato confessed his feelings to Yuki on a valentines day but Yuki regected him because she thought he was too much of a kid still and made him wait until he was 18. When he did reach 18 he asked again and they started dating. Everything Became perfect for a small amount of time, Yamato would come home from school and Yuki from her work and they would go out together and muck around at a park of she would help him with his homework but one day while they were out for a walk in the late after noon they were approached by a man in a hood. The hooded man was clearly drunk and started saying inappropriate and crude things about Yuki, Yamato took Yuki's hand and started to lead them away but when the hooded man took out a knife and started swinging it around Yamato gave himself to protect Yuki while she went to safety. 

Yamato died in hospital and just like the story started Yuki had no one but promised to always remember Yamato and his love and friendship that he shared with her.
